# Voice Overview

> Hands-free voice conversations in chat, plus a dedicated phone number for your business

Sontairo Voice adds speech to your workspace in two places:

* **Voice mode in chat** — talk to Sontairo hands-free in the browser
* **A dedicated phone number** — an AI receptionist that answers calls and text messages ([Phone number](/voice/phone))

  Voice is included with **Ultra** and **Enterprise** plans and available as a paid add-on on other plans. See [Plans & Pricing](/billing/plans). Without a Voice-enabled plan, the voice controls are visible but disabled.

## Voice mode in chat

Click the waveform button (**Start voice mode**) in the chat composer to start a hands-free, real-time conversation — Sontairo listens, responds with natural speech, and you can interrupt it mid-sentence.

* A status panel shows what's happening: connecting, listening, processing, or speaking
* Use the **interrupt** control to cut a response short, or **Stop** to end voice mode
* Voice conversations are saved to your chat history like any other conversation

  The microphone button next to the waveform is different — it dictates speech into the text box rather than starting a live conversation.
